Out holiday at The Lotus Residence was absolutely amazing. The property is beyond gorgeous – much larger than we expected, and the pools, accommodation villas and central pavilion are just lovely. There is water everywhere. The gardens are everything you would imagine Bali would be (but you won’t necessarily readily find).
The staff are wonderful – they went out of their way to assist us – nothing was a problem and Perry, the manager has everything under control: from organising masseurs to come in each day, to a yoga instructor to provide classes in the yoga studio at the bottom of the garden, to a special party for my daughter’s 14th birthday, to day trips to Ubud to go white water rafting or the car to take us into Seminyak and bring us home at whatever time of the day (or night) suited us.
We were 3 families travelling together. The property is large enough for everyone to have their own space, but with lots of opportunities to come together – especially in the evenings in the main bar and dining area.
I really can’t recommend this property highly enough. Yes, it is quite far away from some of the main centres, so I suppose if you wanted to just walk into town to go shopping or to a restaurant, you may find it a bit remote; however that never bothered us as Wisky would drive us everywhere we wanted to go (he has that crazy Bali traffic completely under control), and property is so beautiful, a day spent there was never a waste of valuable holiday time.
